I've had problems with fatigue for a long time and had MANY tests run and so far no luck. for example - sleep study , blood tests for thyroid, anemia , ect problems. , use of anti-depressants, taking vitamins, removing certain foods from diet, and so on. i also have upper arm itch after showering (skin itch?) and such - so i'm trying to figure out what it is (since my dr has yet to).. any ideas ? and could i have hep c? some of the symptoms are similar. i'm scheduled to get a blood test for this in a couple of days. real answers please not jokes :)

the blood test for hep- c is simple. they do have newer treatments for it now and i hope you listen to the drs instructions and follow them to a t.
i still have it and when i underwent treatment it was like the frankenstien days drugs, i underwent 42 weeks of chemo and was found to be unresponsive. hope you have better luck.!!!!!

When were you released? lengh of stay with c-section vs vaginal. Please check it out...very curious?
I had a c-cection 8 years ago. It was an emergency and my son stayed in the hospitial for a week in NICU. I also did not get discharged untill he did.
I think they had me stay so i'd be close cause I did not have any problems myself.
I went VBAC (vaginal birth after cesearen) with my second five years ago and If I remeber right I was olny In there for 2 days.
So I might have to get a c-section this time around but I want to know how long would I be In the hospital under normal cirrcumstances with a planned c-section?
I know I could just ask my OB, but I dont see him untill next Friday so Im trying to get a general idea.
Also if you had a vaginal birth how long were you in there for?

Reply:They generally keep you 5-7 days when you have a c-section, regardless of if it's planned or not. as for a vaginal birth, I gave birth on a Wednesday evening, and went home on that Friday morning. But it depends, you can stay as long as you want (within reason) just tell your doctor what you're comfortable with.

Reply:I was induced... I was suppose to have a vaginal delivery, but because my son was head down face up and his heart rate was fluctuating, I had a c-section. I stayed in the hospital for 4 days... Maybe because I could barely walk because I was in soo much pain. (I didn't like to take my pain meds because I breastfeed.) They made me walk the maternity ward 2 nights... and I was doing much better.
This was in March of 2008.

Nervous about c~section...any calming adivce?
i had an emergency c~sec with my first pregnancy...it all happend so fast and i was "out" during the procedure...this time around i will be awake, and i know it is going to be different...im really nervous, and kinda scared (ive only got 6 more days to get myself ready for this)...anyone have any stories they can share? what was the epidural like? were you nervous and was the experience what you thought it would be? (negative or positive) dont worry about scaring me LOL...i really need some serious honesty...thanks :)
my dr has warned me of some risks to the baby and he feels this would be the safest route to take...and im not really wanting to take any chances that i dont absolutely have to so i agreed...

the epidoral isnt that bad. you have oxygen on and there was a tube with blood running through it by my head. and a bucket of blood red rags on the floor in a bucket. i remmeber shaing really bad and i puked. but i was soo out of it the puking wasnt that bad at all.
there is a little tugging but it wasnt that bad to me but my friend said it hurt her. so its different for everyone.they strapped my arms down too.
Reply:I had a C-section after I failed to make progress pushing. The epidural is not bad at all. The nurses actually told me it'd hurt worse than it did. It felt like a little prick and then a minor burning sensation and that was it!
During the C-section I didn't feel a thing except some slight pressure when they were delivering the baby. They kept talking to me and letting me know what was going on so I wasn't caught off guard by anything.
I'm sure you and baby will be just fine. Best of luck.

The whole procedure from start to finish took about 1 1/2, the actual surgery took about 10 min and about 20 to sew me up. I didnt feel a thing, but some tugging and pulling. The spinal was a breeze, just some slight pressure that's it. The whole thing is total worth it, especially when I look down right now and see my beautiful baby girl's perfect lil face. Everything is worth it. The recovery for me has been great. I was up walking the next day and taking shower. As long as you have the pain meds you are fine. The more you walk the better it gets. I was really nervous when I went in but I"m so glad that I had one and would do it again. Good luck and God bless

Honestly I was extremely scared about the C-Section but when we went in they juiced me up real good and I didn't feel a thing except pressure on my chest when they actually pulled my son out. I was just glad for him to be out lol. I was also glad I didn't have to watch the procedure. My hubby watched it and he thought it was cool haha. All in all it was a good experience although I would have liked to of delivered vaginally I'm glad I have my son now no matter what way he was born. Don't worry you will be fine:)

What is the average hep c window period?
What is the averege hep c window period before you can test positive or negative for hep c?I just had a test done at 11 weeks and am waiting for the results which i should get in a few days.Please the anxiety is killing me and i dont know how i will handle to live with this illness

It is also important not to put yourself under a lot of stress,and have a good nights sleep. Sounds simple but if can really make a difference to your health. If you have hep c depending on which geno-type you have there are treatments available, which work better when you first contract the virus. Are you going throught a local doctor or a liver clinic at a hospital?

Yes you do. They'll put it in after you are already numbed up for the c-section. It's not the most pleasant thing, but it'll be the last thing that you're thinking about.

Honda Civic A/C blows hot air, no leak, refridgerant level ok, compressor working?
My A/C stopped working a week ago. The refrigerant level had dropped, so I personally recharged it to the proper level, yet no cool air comes out. The compressor turns on correctly, the belt seems ok, and the level of refrigerant does not drop, so I assume that there is no leak. What can the problem be?
Also, months ago, I would notice that if I left my A/C on for a while, I would get some cold vapor from the vents. The Haynes manual states that this is a symptom of a leaking Heater core. Would a faulty heater core cause the A/C not too cool down?

I am having a C section on wednesday because baby is breech.....does the anistetic hurt? Will I feel anything during surgery? What if I get sick? When will I be able to eat? How long do I have to stay?When will I get to get up and walk? When will I get to hold my baby? Reply:I had a C-section with my son. They give you this stuff to swallow before you go to surgery that prevents you getting sick. You won't be able to eat until you're able to pass gas again. I stayed a total of 3 days but it just depends on you. The first time you get up to walk is the most painful, but everytime after that gets a little easier. You just have to get up and do it or the pain won't go away. After they take your baby and get him cleaned up and make sure he's healthy, they will bring you your baby. My C-section was amazing, it's over in no time. It's a bit scary, I know, but it's all worth it in the end.

Reply:Everyone is different so there are alot of differences of opinion on this question. My wife had a c-section and while in hard labor had an epidural. With the epidural she was still in pain. They gave her a total of three rounds of drugs and it didn't work. They finally opted for the c-section when she could not deliver vaginally. She was taken into the operating room and they proceeded to give her the spinal. Once again another drug that did not work. She was still able to feel and move. They made the decision to put her under general anesthesia. She felt no pain! She came into recovery with our son and myself about 30-40 minutes after and was able to hold our son. This happened about 4 in the afternoon. My wife was eating that evening. She was up and walking the next morning. Her Dr. told her she had to be off of IV pain meds and be able to walk and use the restroom unassisted to be able to leave. We went home the next day! I was more scared than she was about her having a c-section! The sooner you are up and moving they say the faster you will recover but do not overdue it or push yourself too hard! Good luck and think positive!
Reply:my only child was born by c-section back in september and honestly it was a breeze. i was in labor for 33 hours and they gave it to me because i couldn't dialate past 7cm. it was a lot less painful than the long labor. they wheeled me into a room my son's father was with me the whole time talking to me. they didn't tell me what was going on, but i really didn't want to know. the father and i started talking, he comforted me because i was nervous, there was a little tugging and pulling, but i felt no pain. a minute later we heard the baby crying. it was one of my most special memories. his father got to hold him first, but i couldn't because i was kinda numb from drugs before the surgery. i was tired so more than anything i just wanted to sleep. i stayed for 3 nights after that because i was good to go then. i was able to walk later the next day.
healing was a little different. i got the stitches out a week later and it was HARD to hold the baby while i healed. it was also too painful to breastfeed while i healed, so i ended up bottle feeding instead. i could barely walk the first few days. sneezing, coughing and all of that hurt like the dickens. but i was good in about a week in half.
this may sound kind of vain, but my son was also really cute because he didn't have the cone shaped head from the birth canal. i know its shallow, but as a mother, i know you know how cool it is to have a cute baby.
i'll probably have to get a c section with my next child and i kind of like knowing that i won't have to deal with another long labor. healing is a bit of a pain for the first few days so as long as you have a good support system, you'll be fine.
Reply:i had a c-setion with my first and have to have one this time round...it was not bad at all...they will most likely give you a spinal that does not hurt as they numb the area firts...then you wont be able to feel anything from under your boobs down they put a curtain up...so u cant see what they are doing...teh anethatist stays the whole time right next to you...very reassuring...it takes a whole 3 mins to get the baby out once they start...then they hold the baby over the curtain show u straight away then take it an clean it then they lay it on you for a min all the while you are getting stitched up...then they give the baby to your partner who goes to recovery with it to wait for you...it takes about 30mins to stitch you up...you will get the teeth chatters thats normal :-) then in recovery you hold your baby again give it its first feed an your in there for about an hour then they take you to your room the spinal will start to wear off,...while it does the nurse will look after your baby..ie change nappies hand to you for feed etc the baby stays with you though...
then in the morning they get you up an about an its all good...
c-section is easier....

...with the anistetic properly applied no you won't feel aything but numbness and maybe a little sleepy..oh you might feel a little cold as well because the operating room is cool..
...they say that you an get some nausea from the doctors pushing the abdominal to get the baby out...I didn't, I had alot of other things on my mind..dumb stuff like where'd I put my underwear and junk of that nature LOL..
...you'll be able to eat about so many hours after you've delivered depending on the hospital and time of your c-section..
...Most hospitals require you to stay for 4 days that depends on your hospital and the complications of your delivery, like a smooth one and if your healing process is beginning okay, and that you're managing well with using the restroom and things like that..
...my hospital made me get up and walk the very next day, in the morning, and my c-section was at 2 pm the day before..talk about pain...that doesn't explain it enough U_U

I'm pregnant with my second child and I'm fighting like hell to have a vaginal delivery with this one eating healthy, exercising and all just so I don't have issues that might lead to me having another c-section!!!
Reply:I had a c-section 6 months ago. I would never want to have a vaginal birth. My c-section was an emergency, so I didn't get anything to swallow. I did not feel any pain. You can feel a little bit of like pulling kinda. You will probably have to stay 3 days. That is how long I stayed. You have to wait until your legs are unnumb before you can walk of course. I didn't but I was under a special circumstance. You will peobably be able to hold your baby within an hour, but that is alot better than some people who can't hold their baby for a week. I think that you will do fine.

My doctor was one of those mexican shady doctors and wow ive never gone through something like that and hope to never again.I wish you well,i was allowed 2 mins on the internet from a very cute cozy little cell i like to call home.
Reply:I had a C-section with my son. They give you this stuff to swallow before you go to surgery that prevents you getting sick. You won't be able to eat until you're able to pass gas again. I stayed a total of 3 days but it just depends on you. The first time you get up to walk is the most painful, but everytime after that gets a little easier. You just have to get up and do it or the pain won't go away. After they take your baby and get him cleaned up and make sure he's healthy, they will bring you your baby. My C-section was amazing, it's over in no time. It's a bit scary, I know, but it's all worth it in the end.
Reply:you will be fine antistatic didn't hurt me, i felt sick but never tho up you will be walking in before 24 hours and you will be touching the baby's face soon as you can but want hold till you get outta the room
